Montenegro is a gorgeous country in a far corner of Europe, a pearl of the Adriatic and it is as beautiful as unique. At the very beginning we visit the inland of this exceptional state, then we reach the coast where we will explore more about its culture and history.
It was not until 2006 that this small country regained its independence. The courage and relentless spirit of Montenegrins are matched only with their warmth, hospitality and irresistible pride. You will visit the Mausoleum of the national hero – Petar II Petrovic Njegos and the brave Old Royal Capital Cetinje.
You will also visit Kolasin, which was the heart of the Partisan resistance in World War II and it is now the starting point for tours to Biogradska Gora National Park. Here you will stroll through one of the oldest rainforests in Europe.
You will stop at the stunning Tara River Canyon, on the way to Durmitor National Park. Here there are tracks among the most beautiful alpine meadows, pine forest, stunning snow peaks, glacial lakes and breath-taking panoramas.
Budva and a tour of historical towns in its surroundings, Kotor and Cetinje, await us to make the overall atmosphere on this trip complete.
Group gathering at the airport and drive to our first destination – Kolasin. A short break along the way to visit Moraca Monastery. The Moraca Monastery is an orthodox monastery built in 13th century. Despite its many demolitions and destructions, it still remains one of the most monumental medieval monuments in Montenegro.
